125th Legislature - Second Session
The Second Regular Session of the 125th Maine Legislature convened on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. Statutory Adjournment for the Second Regular Session
is the 3rd Wednesday in April: April 18th. Adjournment can be extended twice, in increments of 5 days each, through the passage of a Joint Order.
Regular Bills and Resolves passed during the Second Regular Session become effective 90 days after the session adjourns.
Emergency Bills and Resolves passed during the Second Regular Session require a 2/3rds majority to pass and become effective immediately.

- LD 120 An Act To End Taxpayer-funded Campaigns for Gubernatorial Candidates. Killed in Committee.
- LD 1774 An Act Regarding the Matching Funds Provisions of the Maine Clean Election Act. Divided report from Committee to strip matching funds from the MCEA.
Elections & Voting Rights
- LD 199 An Act To Strengthen Maine's Election Laws by Requiring Photograph Identification for the Purpose of Voting. Anticipate a divided report in Committee to change the bill into a Resolve.
Ethics and Disclosure
- LD 1150 An Act To Improve Administration of the Legislative Ethics Laws. Unanimous OTP from Committee.
