Making Democracy Work

Lifelong, Amy has pursued a creative path, first in her studies and then through working for architecture, graphics, publishing and interior design firms. In 1986 she ventured off on her own, doing business as Amy Fischer Design and Voila! Home Design, which continues to this day. Problem solving takes many forms whether in marketing or in your daily surroundings. Her career has also involved politics, starting in 1992 serving as Chellie Pingree's Campaign Manager for her four state Senate races. Running campaigns continued, supporting the election of numerous candidates until the end of 2016. Amy continues to volunteer as a local activist with many midcoast organizational committees and boards. As a result of that activism and because of a belief in their mission, Amy agreed to be a founding member of the Midcoast Chapter of the League of Women Voters in May of 2017. On the side, she pursues knitting, hiking, reading and gardening, now as a certified Master Gardener.
