Mason Morfit

Mason served 33 years with The Nature Conservancy in various leadership positions, including Executive Director of the Maine Chapter. In that capacity, he was instrumental in passing Maine's first land acquisition bond issue in 1987 and creating the Land For Maine's Future program, which has so far protected more than 500,000 acres of natural Maine land. He serves or has served on the boards of the College of the Atlantic, the Appalachian Mountain Club, Audubon Alaska, the Coastal Conservation Association / Maine, the Freeport Conservation Trust, and the Maine Planned Giving Council.
