Penelope Hamblin has been an active member of the Advocacy Committee since joining the League in 2017. She is particularly interested in voting rights issues. Penelope is a semi-retired librarian who has pioneered programs in technology training, reader services, and social media. Previous careers were in television news and computer-magazine publishing.
Penelope is a native Mainer who has lived most of her life out of state. With her husband, Willis, she has returned to Maine to live out her days. For fun, she researches Maine history, visits old cemeteries, and plays old-time music on fiddle, harmonica, and ukulele.
