Every Vote Counts: Why the National Popular Vote matters

Registration is closed for this event

The LWVME, ACLU of MaineMaine Women's Lobby, Common Cause, Maine Conservation Voters, and National Popular Vote present a 3 city tour on why the National Popular Vote matters. Join us for a discussion about how the NPV works and how it works for you. Sen. Ray Haynes, a former Republican legislator from California and expert on NPV, will speak on this issue. Confirm your spot here.

The National Popular Vote guarantees the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes across all 50 states. The Compact ensures that every vote, in every state, will matter in every presidential election. It is a state-based approach that preserves the Electoral College, state control of elections, and the power of the states to control how the President is elected.

Excited about the National Popular Vote and ready to get more involved? Join us for a training session on how to be an effective advocate for NPV and learn about our plan to pass it in Maine. Sign up here for a session in Portland or in Bangor.
