LD 2 establishes a pilot program for providing racial impact statements as part of the legislative process. It will improve the legislative process by allowing lawmakers to consider disparate racial impacts of proposed legislation.

The language from LD 148, passed as part of the budget package, creates an ongoing absentee voting list for voters over 65 and voters with disabilities. It also ensures Maine will join ERIC, the Electronic Registration Information Center, improving voter roll quality, an important step for election access and modernization.

LD 194 would have prohibited foreign government-owned corporations from spending money in Maine referendum elections. The legislation would have closed an important loophole that allows foreign government influence in our elections.

LD 1126 establishes online voter registration in Maine by November 2023. This will allow Mainers to register to vote from anywhere with internet access, reducing barriers and helping modernize Maine's elections.

LD 1155 would establish true, methodologically sound audits of Maine elections. This is a common-sense election security reform that passed without opposition in both chambers and awaits funding.

LD 1417 prohibits corporate contributions to gubernatorial and state legislative candidates, as well as legislator-controlled PACs. This will reduce corporate influence in Maine politics.

LD 1575 allows student IDs to be used for voter registration and improves voter information about elections, making improvements that build on Maine's successful 2020 election modifications.
