FILM EVENT: A Place at the Table

A Place at the Table is a film from the people who produced Food, Inc. It tells of the 50 million people in the U.S., including one in four children, who don't know where their next meal is coming from, despite this country having the means to provide nutritious, affordable food for all Americans. A Place at the Table shows how hunger has serious economic, social and cultural implications for the nation. It presents solutions that, it says, could solve this problem once and for all, if the American public decided that making healthy food available and affordable is in the best interest of the entire country.

This event is free and open to the public. League members will facilitate a discussion at the conclusion of the screening.
