Join the Youth Council

Thank you for your interest in joing the League of Women Voters of Maine's Youth Council! We're a non-partisan organization encouraging youth-led engagement in democracy. The Youth Council meets over zoom regularly and is led by a steering committee of young people. By joining, you'll be sent opportunities to attend workshops and trainings, learn about key issues, take action on things you care about, and even step into leadership with us. Whether you can give an hour a month or an hour a week, there are things you can do to be effective.

The Youth Council is made up primarily of high school students or those who have recently graduated; please only apply to join if you are no more than 20 years old. If you're 21+ we have other opportunities available as well, like our partnership with Maine Students Vote.
