The Highlands Regional Chapter of the Maine League of Women Voters will sponsor a non-partisan "Meet the Candidates" event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 11 at the Thompson Free Library. All candidates for Dover-Foxcroft Select Board and RSU 68 School Board are invited. This is a public service offered by the LWV for voters to meet candidates and ask them questions about issues of concern.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League does not endorse any political party or candidate for elective office.
