125th Legislature - Second Session

The Second Regular Session of the 125th Maine Legislature convened on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. Final adjournment for the Second Regular Session was May 31.

Regular Bills and Resolves passed during the Second Regular Session become effective 90 days after the session adjourns. The general effective date for non-emergency legislation is August 30, 2012.

Emergency Bills and Resolves passed during the Second Regular Session required a 2/3rds majority to pass and become effective immediately.
