We hope everyone had a good holiday break and found something to be grateful for. We know we're grateful for election administrators, volunteers, poll monitors, postal workers, and secretaries of state who made democracy work under the most trying conditions. Not to mention a record voter turnout in this 2020 election!

The race to fill the Maine Secretary of State (SoS) seat. Tomorrow, December 1st, is the day the caucuses choose their nominees for the constitutional officers. Maine SOS certifies election results. The Secretary of State certified election results on the statutory deadline last Monday, November 23. A record number of voters participated in this year’s election, with 828,305 casting ballots in the presidential election. That’s likely to be around 78% of eligible voters, putting Maine once again near the top of the rank of states in voter participation. Read more in the Bangor Daily News.
