The Speakers' Bureau meets every other week to check in about upcoming speaking opportunities and provide training and workshop time. This week, we feature a guest expert in accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing people in our digital world. Caroline Mincks is a deaf podcaster who has created audio fiction, including the show "Seen and Not Heard" (here's a description in The Atlantic).
They'll tell a story from their own experience and then talk about what we can all do to increase the accessibility of our speaking engagements. We'll talk about what we can do as invited speakers, as well, since we often don't control the details of the event. Caroline is an engaging speaker, and we're looking forward to hosting them!
