Once a month, the League's Youth Council gathers to connect with each other, talk about upcoming opportunities, and learn new skills. Membership in the Youth Council is open to anyone under 20 - feel free to come to the meeting and see what you think!
This month, we're going to practice relational organizing and connect with people about Senate Bill 1, the For the People Act. We'll use OutreachCircle, a free relational organizing app, to effectively connect with people and encourage them to call our senators about this.
The Youth Council is a group of young people, most of them in high school, who are interested in democracy as a concept and in practice. They're led by a steering committee of engaged students, and have helped encourage people to register and vote, hosted public conversations, and advised on youth perspectives.
You can join the Youth Council by filling out this form. Membership doesn't require anything but your interest in staying connected and learning more, and feel free to come to a meeting before you join up!
