What's At Stake in Moore v. Harper?

Join leading election law experts for this webinar on Moore v. Harper, the major election law case before the Supreme Court this fall. Eliza Sweren-Becker of the Brennan Center and Derek T. Muller of the University of Iowa will discuss this important case and what it could mean for our elections and democracy.

Why is Moore v. Harper significant? For the most part, it means a state legislature is seeking unchecked power over elections.

How did we get here? In February 2022, the North Carolina supreme court issued a historic ruling that partisan gerrymandering violates the North Carolina constitution and ordered new maps to be drawn. North Carolina lawmakers have appealed the ruling to the US Supreme Court.
