The National Popular Vote bill, LD 1578, is being considered this year in the Maine Legislature, and it could alter how we conduct elections for the better.

Do you agree with the following statements?

  • The presidential candidate with the most votes in all 50 states should win.
  • Presidential candidates should have to campaign in all 50 states.
  • Every vote in every state should be equal.
  • Increasing voter participation is a good thing for democracy.

The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact guarantees that the candidate who wins the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia becomes the President. It's nonpartisan. NPV favors voters, not parties, land, geography, factions, or states. NPV works within the constitution and does not change or abolish the Electoral College.

Join this webinar to learn more about how NPV works, dispel common myths, and how we can advance LD 1578 across the finish line.
