Your Election Update For Monday, August 29

Monday, August 29, 2022
Jen Lancaster

This week's email is a reminder to make sure your voter registration is up-to-date. We've also got a line up of volunteer opportunities β€” take a training on how to canvass and register voters or a training on how to upload data to our online voter database, Vote411.org

Here are the most crucial things to know this week.

Are you up-to-date?: It's never too late to register to vote in Maine! You can register to vote anytime by visiting your Town Clerk up to and on Election Day (thanks to same-day voter registration). If you've recently moved, you can update your driver's license and voter registration in one visit at the BMV. Learn more about how to register to vote here.

This year, we're going to cover more races than ever in our online and print voter guides. This orientation focuses on how to gather the information we need and make sure it will be added to Vote411.org, with extra time scheduled for questions. If you've done Vote411 local research before, we'll be using the same basic process, but please feel free to come to an orientation if you want a refresher.
